With a rich history dating back to 206 B.C., whitewashed walls, an underrated gastronomical scene, and a stunning castle from the Nasrid Dynasty, it's no wonder Salobreña's magic rivals that of its nearby cousin, Granada. Salobreña is replete with elements of a quintessential Southern Spanish beach town - seafood to make you salivate, flower-pot studded streets, a palace nestled over a hill, and views of fertile fields and cobalt ocean. The catch? Perhaps some crowding of the beach at weekends, but it's more likely than not you'll eschew overcrowded tourism.
